Check the route that applies to you

| Your situation | Next action | What confirms access |
|---|---|---|
| You requested access earlier | Check your Steam email and the base game's store page | Steam shows that access has been granted |
| A friend has a spare invitation | Ask that friend to use the game's Steam invitation route | The invitation appears in Steam and on the base store page |
| You have neither | Follow official access updates | A new official route is announced or Steam grants access |
| You bought playtest AI credits | Check access separately | The purchase itself is not an invitation |
For a friend invitation, Valve's Steam Playtest documentation says recipients are notified through Steam's bell notifications and can also see invitation status on the base game's store page. Open Steam directly to check rather than treating a message elsewhere as proof.
Why are creators already playing?
The supplied videos document pre-release gameplay, while the public retail listing remains unavailable. That distinction explains why footage can exist without an open purchase or signup button. It does not mean every viewer can install the same test build.
Players may call this a beta, an early build or “early access” casually. Use the actual Steam entitlement to determine whether they mean the playtest or the later retail release. Early Access explained.
An AI upgrade does not get you in
The publisher's Unlimited AI page states that the optional upgrade requires existing playtest access. Its cost buys playtest AI usage, not a game key, invitation or retail copy. Use the linked Steam account that has already played.
If you are eligible, have friends check their own access before planning a multiplayer session. The three-invite allowance controls access distribution; it does not establish the room's maximum player count.
If access is still missing
Joining the official community helps you follow updates, but membership does not guarantee an invite. There is no verified deadline or waiting-list position to calculate from the checked announcement. Keep the retail game wishlisted if you prefer to wait for public availability.

Scammer FAQ
A few answers before your next shift. Release and access plans can change.
How do I get early access?
The restricted playtest is separate from the retail release. New signups are closed for now in the checked Steam announcement; accepted testers may invite up to 3 friends. This does not guarantee access, an invitation date, or that signups will never reopen.
How many friends can an accepted tester invite?
Accepted testers may invite up to 3 friends. This is an access allowance, not a confirmed room limit.
Does the paid AI option include a game key?
A final retail price has not been verified on the checked Steam listing. The publisher’s $8 USD Unlimited AI option is an optional playtest service; it includes neither a game key nor playtest access.
